I've been studying how the printer interacts with foreign substrates, specifically, fabric. As I was finding my way in the process, I created many pieces that I'm still resolving. Many times, process drives my work. A couple times, I dampened the fabric as it went through the printer. Occasionally, I coated the fabric with this digital ground medium that helps absorb the ink (photo papers are coated with a similar substance that allows ink to absorb in a controlled way). I get excited by trying new things, experimenting with different techniques. I thought I'd share them here!
